Predictable.. unfortunately

well we lost it 4-1. I know that here are many other blogs out there that speak of West ham and I am a little jealous because some of the ones that I have read are able to be at the matches every week.  That said, I cannot and will not afford to be a season ticket holder, not because I don't love my team, but because I love my family ore - shoot me!!!

Anyway back to Saturday - I was at my in-laws but was keeping up to date on my phone with events that were unfolding at Stamford Bridge.  I guess I always knew that we would lose, but I must confess, at half-time hope had risen which made the full time score all the more difficult to swallow.

I did see the highlights on Match Of The Day and to be fair - Malouda was outstanding.  drogba is big and ferocious with bags of skill - Matty did a good job for the best part of he game, but he still managed to score2.

The big plus was watching Scotty's goal - what a scorcher.  I know we have Arsenal next - I just hope that with the big away games being a distraction, that we can get down to the serious business of winning at home.

Bring on Wolves and Stoke!

Tomorrow against Chelsea

Not looking foward to this one in particular.  Can't really see us gettin anything out ofit to be fair.  I did r earlier that Mido has warned that Drgba might be a threat!!!  For all the goals he willnot score us, he makes up for in statements in the blindingly obvious.  Shouldn't be too harsh on him though if in deed e is playing for us for less than many of the youngsters at the club.

I do hope that we start as fast as Zola has suggested.  That seems to be where we have lacked this year.  We start slow and go to sleep at about 75 mins!

Don't know how much he can really change the team in terms of personnel.  I have seen clamberings for Daprela to start but I would be reluctant to see that in sucha big game - I am hoping Ilunga might be back in contention.  As for up front, starting with Cole and Ilan ouldn't be a bad shout, but I guess he will go with Franco.

Whatever happens tomorrw I do think we will be safe, I just hope that we are not annihalted tomorrow, reaking havoc on already low morale.

Team to play

Green
Faubert Tomkins Upson Ilunga
Behrami Parker Collison Diamanti
Ilan Cole

Here we go

As someone who loves his football team, I decided that as well as having my general blog, that I would start one that tracked the fortunes of the Irons.  I have been a West Ham fan since the age of about 7 and have followed them through the ups and downs.  It wasn't until university that my interest and knowledge in the club grew - that was in '93.

I read yesterday a post on BBC 606 that this season is reminiscent of the 2002-2003 season when we went down - Nice guy manager, team 'too good to go down', did well the year before - and I couldn't help but shudder and agree with the guy who wrote it.  This season has been strange in that anybody could beat anybody though.

So as an optimist I would say that we will beat the drop - it is totally possible to get something out of Arsenal and Chelsea as the players always seem to apply themselves more for those matches.  We should then see off Stoke and Wolves at home.

This blog will reflect my views about the club that I love and will hopefully help me to let off some steam about the achievements and their under achievements. It is a personal diary for me to look back on and remember.
